Description
English: Kathog Monastery alias Kartok Monastery at Pakyong in East Sikkim. It was founded in 1840 A.D by the lineage holders of Saint Kathog Kuntu Zangpo . He was one of the three pioneer Lamas who were instrumental in coronation of Phuntshog Namgyal as the first King of Sikkim in 1642 A.D. at Yuksam, West Sikkim.
