Summary[edit]

Description
English: It shows the seismicity distribution with the Chile ridge and the Peru-Chile Trench. The spots represent the magnitude of seismic events. the orangey-yellow spots have magnitudes higher than 7, while the spots with light green are having magnitudes of 5-6, and the spots with light blue have the magnitudes of 3-4. In addition, on the SE side of the map, there is a sparse distribution of seismic events. This is due to the generation of a seismic gap by the Patagonian slab window.
