Blooms profusely all winter in pots as a window or conservatory plant. Flowers i to'5 inches across on stems 2 to 3 feet. Begins bloomiDg in thumb pots. This magnificent novelty in importance almost equals our Spectacular Rose. Just think of it, a magnificent large Chrysanthemum blooming all summer bedded out, or all the year round in pots: There is no doubt of this for it has been exhibited in bloom at all times of year, to the amaze- ment of thousands who have seen it in winter, spring and all summer, as well as in the fall. Flowers of the brightest golden yellow, double to the very center and of large size and borne in clusters of 3 to 6 on strong upright stems. Fine Plants 25c. each ; 3 for 60c. From the Florist's Exchange of Nov. 25th, iqii. â There was received at this office recently from P. W. Popp, a large box containing a wealth of flowers of the new everblooming Chrysanthemum "Seven Oaks." Some of the blooms on these large sprays of flowers grown in the open ground wore three inches or more in diameter and for a perfectly hardy Chrysanthemum which will bloom in the border or in pots in the open season, and in the greenhouse during the rest of the year, "Seven Oaks" certainly makes a fine showing. Mr. Popp writes as follows; "I am sending a box of blooms just as cut from the open border. I have exhibited this'Mum eight consecutive months now, beginning at the National Show in Boston in March, and every month since before the New York Hort. Society: It begins to bloom in thumb pots and as the plants grow the succeeding flowers develop on the shoots coming up from the bottom. . I had a fifteen foot bed in full bloom on May first this year. Grown in pots or bench, and disbudded, it throws a stem three feet with a good well developed bloom four to five inches in diameter. It is perfetly hardy and will Winter with little or no protection." The writer has seen this Chrysanthemum, both its cut blooms, and as blooming plants in four inch pots at the ex- hibition of the New York Hort. Society, where it received a certificate of merit in the May exhibition, and fully corrobo- rates Mr. Popp's statements. NEW BARIyY FLOWERING CHRYSANTHEMUMS. These new sorts produce the largest sized flowers in the open ground end of Sept. and during Oct.
