Description
English: Front of the Chief White Pigeon Monument, located on the northwestern corner of the junction of U.S. Routes 12 and 131 west of White Pigeon in Mottville Township, St. Joseph County, Michigan, United States. Placed in 1909, the monument occupies the site of the burial of Pottawatomie Indian Chief White Pigeon (Wahbememe), for whom the nearby village of White Pigeon is named. The monument and site are listed together on the National Register of Historic Places.
