Summary[edit]

Description
English: Cheshire County Council's Coat of Arms The County's Coat of Arms seem a bit out of place, and a bit weathered, on a skewed anti-parking post on the Castle Square. According to the County's website the arms are 'One of the most beautiful in England', and they were designed by the County Architect in 1938 to commemorate the Council's Jubilee. The County motto is "jure et dignitate gladii (by the law and dignity of the sword)", and dignity will certainly be required now as the government's metaphorical sword has decided to cut the County in two.
