English: The dog "Charlie Lloyd's Pilot" was bred by John Holden of the Red Lion Inn, Park Street, Walsall, England. Pilot was brought to America by Charlie Lloyd. Gained fame when he defeated the dog "Louis Krieger's Crib" on October 19, 1881 for $1,000 a side. This dog is the ancestor of many modern Pit Bull Terriers, including the famous "Colby's Pincher". Pilot was born in 1878. Pedigree online |
