26th Novbr ‘69
My dear Redpath,
I have proofs in my trunk for the New York & Phili- Press. I wish you to look after the Boston press, if you will be good enough.
The letter of Mr Griswold related to the bill for my engine from Rutland to Greenfield, which I have paid. At his request I sent to him the memom [p. 2] of unexpected expense. You have his answer. I made no claim.
The Lecture system in Pa. needs quickening. It is not understood nor do people enter into it.
I shall be glad when I reach Phila.
