Centurion tank repairs at 1st Australian Support Compound, March 1970

Summary[edit]

Description
English: 'Uptight', a mammoth 52-ton Centurion tank, call sign 4B (Four Bravo) ARN 169104 of A Squadron, 1st Armoured Regiment (1AR), having come in from the jungle to 106th Field Workshop at the Australian Task Force base for repairs. Craftsman (CFN) Geoff Smith, of Ashburton, Vic, hands down the junction unit from the gun control equipment to Cfn John Dusting, of Watsonia, Vic, for attention. The workshop repairs just about everything that moves, and has as its motto: "The Punch Behind The Task Force Fist."
