Abstract:
Title page from Della Falcadina, is a swirling extravaganza of calligraphic ornaments and festoons. Dedicated to a viceroy of the House of Hapsburg, the calligraphy is reminiscent of the diplomatic minuscule based on Carolingian script--appropriate for an imperial presentation text.
