English: Entrance to the old cemetery of Igualada. Sculptor Celdoni Guixà (1817). In year 1875 a new inscription was added.
Català: Porta d'entrada al vell cementiri d'Igualada. Escultor Celdoni Guixà (1817). Té dues columnes dòriques que flanquegen l’entrada, que és un arc de punt rodó. A la part superior, que fou modificada segons el projecte original, hi havia la inscripció i l’escut de la Ciutat que avui trobem a la paret de l’atri, i que diu: “D.O.M. ESTE CEMENTERIO FUÉ CONSTRUIDO / Á EXPENSAS DE LOS ARBITRIOS DEL COMUN DE LA VILLA DE IGUALADA, / EN EL AÑO M.DCCC.XIX. / Y EN EL XII. DEL REINADO / DE NUESTRO
AUGUSTO SOBERANO / D. FERNANDO VII. DE BORBON D.D.G.” Actualment hi ha un escrit que diu:“Bienaventurados los que mueren en el Señor.Año 1875”.
