Summary[edit]

Description Cave bacon is often found in tandem with cave draperies. As water runs on the underside of the rock, the formation will deposit in a strip. As layers increase, bands will become noticeable as the source of the water encounters various levels of sediments. However, the water tends not to deviate from its path under the rock, making it a very thin formation. To the hungry caver, it may resemble bacon.
