Español: La Casa del Pueblo en Buenos Aires hacia 1927. Se puede apreciar parte de la boca de acceso de la ya desaparecida estación Pasco Sur (Línea A). English: The People's House (Casa del Pueblo); Rivadavia 2150, Balvanera, Buenos Aires. Designed by Pedro Cremona and built in 1927, the Neo-classical building served as the headquarters for the Socialist Party of Argentina from 1927 until, in 1953, it was ransacked by a Peronist mob. A dispute between the two main factions of the Socialist Party (Democratic and Argentine) precluded the building's restoration, and it was demolished in 1974. |
