Locatie: Markt. Het beeld is een schepping van Charles Vos (1888-1954) en staat in een fonteinbak van architect J. Brouwers. Het mooswief = moesvrouw, groentevrouw staat symbool voor een volkstype, namelijk de vroegere groenteverkoopster op de Markt. Het beeld werd op zaterdag 27 februari 1954, de dag voor vastenavond (carnaval) onthuld door de toenmalige stadsprins. Sindsdien wordt ieder jaar een grote Mooswiefpop opgehangen op het Vrijthof, als symbool van het carnaval.
