Description
Svenska: "Carl Fredrik Hamilton af Hageby" (1705-1753) iklädd harnesk samt röd rock med guldbroderier. Troligen runt 1740.

A tergo rött lacksigill med alliansvapen för ätterna Gyllenstierna af Björksund och Helgö samt Brahe. Duk 81 x 65 cm.

Proveniens Nils Gyllenstierna af Björksund och Helgö (1670-1731) och Ulrika Juliana Brahe (1704-1765) Sedermera i samlingarna på Hånö, Södermanland.

Övrig information

Carl Fredrik Hamilton af Hageby var friherre och hovmarskalk. Han var son till Hugo Johan Hamilton af Hageby och Eva Catharina Henriksdotter Falkenberg af Trystorp. Han var gift med Christina Anna Brahe (1717-1739) som dog i barnsäng, se auktionens nummer 702. Hans andra hustru var Helena Margareta Wrangel af Adinal. Carl Fredrik Hamilton ärvde Bogesunds slott i Uppland efter sin första hustrus bortgång 1739 och bodde där fram till sin död 1753. Han innehade efter 1748 även Boo fideikommiss i Närke och Hedenlunda i Södermanland. Hans första fru var syster med Ulrika Juliana Brahe (1704-1765) gift med Nils Gyllenstierna af Björksund och Helgö (1670-1731), vilkas lacksigill sitter a tergo.
