Description
The Ludvig Holm was built by C.R. Fridell of Västervik, Sweden. The finished ship was sold to Jacob Holm & Sønner of Copenhagen and went on its maiden voyage on November 4, 1858 with H.P.J. Holm as master. The bark foundered near St. Thomas in October 1867, but was salvaged and sold in November to H. Halvorsen & Co. of Oslo, Norway. As the Mary she served until July 19, 1887 when she foundered in a storm at Carston. jmarcussen.dk (in Danish).
