Summary[edit]
DescriptionCaponniere 4.jpg |
English: The caponnière of the former Courtain 4 at Theodor-von-Hildebrandt-Platz in Neu-Ulm. It was built between 1844 and 1850 as part of the Federal Fortress of Ulm and had to cover the moat between the centers of bastions 3 and 5. In 1932 the building was half submerged, half overbuilt, it was then the lunchhouse of the Reichsarbeitsdienst and later of the furniture factory Mayer & Söhne. In 1993 it was exposed after the demolition of the factory and restored between 2006 and 2008. |
