Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Candle flames were studied on the Mir Space Station. This flame surrounds the wick like a luminous halo which is different than the ordinary pear-shaped flame seen on Earth. The candle flame experiment studied candles with different diameters, wick diameters, and wick lengths. Flame flickering, flame oscillations, and gravitational effects were also studied for the candle flame experiment.
