Summary[edit]

Description
English: United States border crossing on Maine State Route 6, Vanceboro, Washington County, Maine. Down the hill and to the east is the Canada border crossing on NB Route 4, St. Croix, McAdam Parish, York County, New Brunswick. Both towns are heavily wooded rural communities. Vanceboro is the eastern terminus of U.S. Route 6 and St. Croix is the western terminus of NB Route 4, ending at the border. The United States Border Patrol (USBP) is in charge of the area on the west side of the Saint Croix-Vanceboro Bridge and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) "Mounties" control the east side of the border, midway of the St. Croix River that flows south along the United States/Canada border in this area.
