The Camperdown Elm in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, New York City. The tree grows from a cutting taken in 1872 from the original mutant elm growing on the grounds of Camperdown House, in Dundee, Scotland, and grafted upon a Wych Elm (Ulmus glabra). Camera points toward southwest at a location southeast from the Boathouse (Prospect Park Audubon Center). Cleft Ridge Span is off-image to the left of the photographer; the Boathouse is behind and to the photographer's right. Digital photograph taken in Prospect Park, Brooklyn New York at 2:38 PM EDT 21 May 2005. Camera used was a Sony Mavica digital still camera model number MVC-FD90 equipped with a Sony f 4.75 38 mm lens. 24 bits/pixel TrueColor visual 1150 X 710 image was color balanced in the GIMP paint program.
