Method of supporting cooking utensils Making a Fireless Cooker in Camp It is a very simple matter to construct afireless cooker in camp if one has given itsome thought before starting, and suppliedoneself with enough material to make thecooker. This material need not be excessbaggage, but may be utilized in constructingthe pack for the trip. It is best to construct a box about the samesize and shape as the box used in shipping twofive-gallon cans of oil. These pack readily ona mule and hold a surprising amount of campmaterial. The material, to be at its best,should be about one inch thick for the endpieces and three-quarter inch thick for thesides, bottom and cover. Such thicknesswill stand more pressure in packing. If thisis impossible, use a plain oil packing box. Obtain a sufficient supply of excelsior, pul-verized cork, paper or other insulating ma-terial to fill the box heaping full. Thismaterial may be used in the packing. In constructing the cooker, see that thesides and bottom
