English: Spc. Daniel Bietz of the 49th Military Police Brigade out of Fairfield, Calif., took apart and reassembled an M249 light machine gun for time during the Best Warrior’s Competition at Camp San Luis Obispo, Calif., Sept. 12, 2011. On the first day of the week-long event, the nine competitors conducted an Army Physical Fitness Test, performed weapons knowledge tasks at five stations, and ran lanes which consisted of calling in reports, reacting to direct and indirect fire, performing first aid, engaging the enemy, clearing a building and calling in a medevac. |
