Summary[edit]

Description

Calf eyeball from a dissection done at University of Pennsylvania on 2005 Oct 13. In this photo, the dissection is complete. The lens (now crushed) is just past the posterior of the eye; the vitreous humor looks like a puddle; it resists removal, being somewhat attached to the interior of the eye, and so was not removed as a whole. The retina is detached from the back of the eye but still attached to the optic nerve. At left is the fat that was initially surrounding and attached to the eye.
