Wednesday, 12th day of February. Sale of thirty three building lots at Port Jefferson, Long Island. The undersigned, sole surviving acting executor of the will of Thomas Roe deceased, will, pursuant to a power contained in the said will, sell at public auction at the dwelling on the land hereinafter described on the twelfth day of February next at ten o'clock in the afternoon, thirty-three building lots on a plot of ground formerly belonging to Philip Roe deceased, in the Village of Port Jefferson (late Drown Meadow) in the town of Brookhaven and County of Suffolk, bounded Westerly by the main street through the Village, Northerly by the several lands of Lewis Hulse, Caleb Kinner, and William H. Brewster, and Easterly and Southerly by proposed new streets. The premises comprise three divisions running Easterly from the main street. New streets are laid out between the North and middle divisions, and on the South division. The lot, except those which join the main street, are four rods wide from East to West, and, on the North division ten rods, and the others eight rods deep. The lot adjoining the main street on the North division is four rods wide on the North end and ihmii eight rods wide on the South end. The lot adjoining the me street on the south division extciidnacrosB the adioining division and contains the dwelling Iioiibo. Numbers one, two and three on the middle division partly adjoining the main street and are of unequal dimensions. The barn is on Number two in that division and will be sold with it. The lots are designated by stakes standing ml the corners. The new streets are two rods wide, and the deeds will bound the premises conveyed by the middle of those streets reserving the privilege of a public mad or passage, Port Jefferson is situated at the head of a fine harbor about 56 miles from New York, and has become one of the most thriving villages on Long Island. Forty years ago it contained but 5 dwelling houses. It now has two elegant and commodious hotels, four stores, a church, upwards of 50 dwelling houses, three wharves, four rail-ways and six ship yards. The property offered for sale is located in the most commodious and pleasant part of the village. Dated Port Jefferson, December 10th 1830.
