Description

Située dans le quartier du Dorsoduro, la Ca'Rezzonico est un palais baroque du XVIIème siècle. Sa façade donne sur le Grand Canal, en face du palazzo Grassi.

Le palais a été conçu par Baldassare Longhena (début de la construction en 1667) qui ne l'a pas achevé faute d'argent du commanditaire Filippo Bon, procurateur de Saint-Marc, il a été terminé par "Giorgio Massari qui en a adouci et affiné le baroque austère et grandiose de la façade". (ref. les palais vénitiens par Alvise Zorzi et Paolo Marton, edition Place des Victoires, 1998

Ce palais abrite un musée consacré au XVIIIème siècle à Venise.
