Summary[edit]

Description
English: Micro-algae under a microscope. Micro-algae are single celled algae which absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. When the plant dies, it falls to the ocean floor, taking the trapped carbon dioxide with it. Micro-algae are also an important food source for many marine animals.
