Nederlands: Negatief. Deze twee weefsters zijn met verschillende fases van het weefproces bezig. De vrouw links is een doeksoort die "gatip ampar" heet aan het weven. Het kan zijn dat de vrouw links geen Karo-Batak is, maar eventueel Toba-Batak, want zij heeft geen hoofddoek op haar hoofd. Tegenwoordig zijn het alleen maar Toba-Bataks die in het Karogebied weven.
De vrouw rechts is waarschijnlijk bezig stijfsel op haar garens aan te brengen. Op de foto is het niet duidelijk te zien maar het lijkt dat zij een "ijuk" (palmvezel) borstel in haar rechterhand heeft. Zij draagt wel een hoofddoek, maar misschien alleen om de zon tijdens deze klus te weren. De garens zijn gespannen tussen twee bamboerollers. Met haar knieën drukt de weefster op een roller om op deze manier spanning op de garens te bewaren. Beide vrouwen werken op de grond en leunen hun weefinstrument tegen het Karo-Batakhuis aan.
