Nederlands: Prent met kleine afbeeldingen van veertien veelvoorkomende prenten. Een aantal van deze afbeeldingen verbeeldt verhalen uit de Koran die ook in de Bijbel voorkomen. De twee afbeeldingen in het midden stellen Adam en Hawa, de bijbelse Adam en Eva, (links) en Ahmed al-Tidjani (rechts) voor. Ahmed al-Tidjani (Marokko, 1737-1815) is een bekende soefi-meester en oprichter van de Tidjani soefi-orde. De overige 12 afbeeldingen stellen voor, vanaf rechtsboven tegen de klok in:
1. Het offer van de profeet Ibrahim van zijn zoon Ismaïl 2. Het graf van de profeet Mohammed in Medina 3. De moskee in Medina 4. De drie meest heilige plaatsen van de islam: de Ka'aba in Mekka, de moskee in Medina en de al-Aqsa moskee in Jerusalem 5. Buraq, het gevleugelde paard waarop de profeet Mohammed een hemelreis maakte. 6. Antar, hoofdpersoon uit de Arabische volkslegende 'Antar en Abla'. 7. De verleiding van Yusuf (Josef) door de vrouw van Qitfir (Potifar), aan het hof van de farao te Egypte. 8. Sulayman (Salomo) met zijn soldaten. Sulayman is de koning van de djinn, hij wordt omringd door djinn met duivelshoorns en door dieren. Sulayman heeft magische krachten en kan met de dieren communiceren. 9. De ark van Nuh (Noach) 10. Imam Ali (d. 661), de stichter van de sjiietische stroming binnen de islam, in gevecht met 'Umar al-'Umari. 11. Imam Ali (d. 661) met zijn twee zonen Hassan en Hussein 12. Rahal al-Budali, een Marokkaanse soefi-sheikh, in de gevangenis met een leeuw. De voorstellingen op de prent komen overeen met die op prenten die in de 19e eeuw en eerste helft 20e eeuw veelvuldig in Syrië en Egypte gedrukt werden. Ook in Marokko, met name in Casablanca, werden deze prenten gedrukt. Gezien een aantal typisch Marokkaanse voorstellingen op de prent (Ahmed al-Tidjani en Rahal al-Budali) lijkt deze prent in Marokko te zijn vervaardigd. De prent wordt als decoratie in winkels en huizen opgehangen. |
