Nederlands: Deze vingerkleppers worden aan vinger en duim gedragen en tegen elkaar geslagen. Het zijn z.g. 'concussie' instrumenten: soortgelijke voorwerpen worden tegen elkaar geslagen. 5550-31a is het klokvormige klanklichaam dat uitloopt in een spitse punt; 5550-31b is een ring. Wordt gebruikt als ritme-instrument.
De vingerkleppers werden gebruikt in een stuk over AIDS. Het stuk "AIDS! Als ik dat geweten had!" werd geschreven door Danaye, samen met leden van de Togolese Associatie van Vrouwen tegen Aids (A.T.F.S.). De draadpoppen die in dit stuk optreden zijn door Danaye en zijn groep gemaakt, evenals de muziekinstrumenten en het achterdoek. Ze zijn door het Tropenmuseum aangekocht, na een optreden in Dapaong in het noorden van Togo, op 1 December 1993 (internationale AIDS-dag). |
