Nederlands: Beeld. Kala Rahu is degene die zons- en maansverduisteringen veroorzaakt. Volgens de sage had de demon Kala Rahu zich als god vermomt en kreeg zo de kans om van de goddelijke, levensverwekkende nektar te proeven. De zon en de maan waarschuwden Wisnu die hem met zijn speciale wapen, de cakra, het werprad het hoofd afsloeg. Omdat hij op dat moment echter door de godendrank al onsterfelijk is geworden -de nektar bevond zich op dat moment nog in de keel dus de rest van het lichaam was niet onsterfelijk- blijft hij leven. Zijn lichaam viel naar de aarde en werd een rijststampblok. Kala Rahu wilde zich op zon en maan wreken en probeerde hen te verzwelgen. Zolang zijn lichaam gebruikt wordt als rijststampblok tijdens zon- en maansverduisteringen, zijn zijn pogingen tevergeefs. Dit beeld stelt Kala Rahu voor die de maangodin Dewi Ratih probeert te verslinden.
