Nederlands: Deze natuurlijke hoorn van ivoor wordt dwars aangeblazen. Hij dient als signaal-instrument.
De verzamelaar Cremer heeft de volgende informatie bij het voorwerp geleverd: 'Ivoren Koningstrompet. In elk groot dorp aanwezig, vooral daar waar ivoorkaravanen passeeren. Gewoonlijk hebben de koning en andere grooten (fidalgoo) er een en nemen ze bij groote feesten met zich. De trompetten, die ivoorkaravanen vergezellen zijn van koper en van de blanken gekocht.' |
