| Description |
Nederlands: Negatief. De Belgische kunstenaar Le Mayeur heeft onder meer jarenlang op Bali gewerkt en een groot oeuvre nagelaten. Het museum Le Mayeur op Bali is te vinden in het voormalig woonhuis van de Belgische schilder Adrien Jean Le Mayeur de Merpres (1880-1958) en zijn Balinese vrouw Ni Pollok. In 1931 kwam Le Mayeur aan in Bali en ontmoette hij Ni Pollok. Zij was een beroemde danseres en poseerde vaak voor hem. Na zijn dood liet hij huis en werk na aan Ni Pollok. Toen Ni Pollok in 1985 stierf werd het huis Museum Le Mayeur. In het museum is een groot deel van het oeuvre van de schilder te bezichtigen.
