A worn copper-alloy Roman sestertius of Septimius Severus (AD 193-211), dating to the period c.AD 194-195 (Reece period 10). Reverse type depicting Roma seated left holding Victory on extended right hand, vertical spear in left, shield below. Mint of Rome. Cf. BMC, p. 138, no. 558 passim, p. 140, no. 567 passim; RIC IV.1, p. 183, no. 671, p. 186, no. 691, p. 187 no. 700.
