Entwurf eines Briefes adressiert an den contrôleur des finances Etienne Maynon d’Invault (1721-1801), mit der Bitte um Erhöhung der Mittel zur Fertigstellung der Opéra Royal des Château de Versailles bis zum Frühjahr 1770 [«parvenir à l’achèvement de la salle de spectacle du Château de Versailles, avant le printemps de 1770»]. Am 16. Mai 1770 fand in Versailles die Hochzeit des künftigen Ludwig XVI. mit Marie Antoinette von Österreich statt und die Festlichkeiten wurden unter anderem in der neuen Oper abgehalten.

English: LdF ms BR-0103: Abel-François Poisson de Vandières, marquis de Marigny (1727-1781), Draft letter written by Abel-François Poisson de Vandières, Marquis de Marigny (1727-1781), directeur général des bâtiments and brother of Madame de Pompadour, mistress of Louis XV. The Marquis is asking Etienne Maynon d’Invault (1721-1801), contrôleur des finances, for a budget increase to complete the works on the #Royal Opera of the Château de Versailles until spring 1770 [«parvenir à l’achèvement de la salle de spectacle du Château de Versailles, avant le printemps de 1770»]. On may 16, 1770 the future Louis XVI married MarieAntoinette and the festivities also took place at the new Royal Opera of Versailles.
