Object history
Deutsch: 1806 entdeckte man in Recherswil auf der Feuerspritze und auf Feuereimern ein Wappen. Es stellte folgendes Bild dar: «Auf rotem Grund eine aufrechtstehende Pflugschar, oben beidseitig von 2 weissen, sechsstrahligen Sternen flankiert. Dr. Glutz, Adjunkt des Staatsarchivs, stellte 1941 ein Wappenbild her, das im Motiv demjenigen auf der Feuerspritze ähnlich war: "Auf rotem Grund eine schwarze Pflugschar, oben beidseitig von 2 gelben, sechsstrahligen Sternen flankiert." Dieser Entwurf wurde der Gemeinde vorgelegt und genehmigt.
