Description
Italiano: Castello risalente all'ottavo secolo si affaccia sulla suggestiva costa jonica

Sulla punta orientale delle antiche colonie greche di Siris e Herakleia si pensa che il castello sia stato eretto dai monaci basiliani con funzione di monastero e centro agricolo per poi divenire, alla fine del 1700, un casale nobiliare di proprietà della principessa Grimaldi Serra Gerace,che lo trasforma in casale nobiliare e vi costruisce intorno il borgo. Nel 1893 l'intero latifondo passa al Barone Berlingieri di Crotone. Negli anni 50, l'intervento della riforma agraria espropriò i terreni del barone Berlingieri, suddividendo la proprietà e affidandola alle famiglie provenienti da ogni parte della Basilicata, ma anche delle regioni limitrofe di Puglia e Calabria.

Dopo un lungo periodo di abbandono , il Castello è ritornato agli antichi splendori attraverso un accurato intervento di restauro, offrendo ai tanti visitatori un percorso tematico tra gli scavi della antica Heracleia, testimoniato dal Parco Archeologico.
