Summary[edit]
DescriptionBuzzy Beez (7910326264).jpg |
These wasps are hard at work! Bee populations are being devastated in a "one-sided fight" with swarms of marauding wasps. Large numbers of the aggressive insects have been attacking hives, driving the bees out and killing them off. The wasps have been targeting the hives to steal honey and eat bee eggs and larvae. Bee colonies everywhere are declining due to factors like climate change, pesticides, a drop in the number of wildflowers and diseases such as the varroa mite infecting hives. Just a tidbit of information. Have a great weekend everyone! |
