Português: O Butsumaru é o símbolo criado pelo Grande Mestre Nissen Shounin para identificar a HBS a partir da sua fundação em 12 de janeiro de 1857.
Representa a estilização dos ideogramas chineses BUTSU e RYU, letras que compõem o nome da religião, em forma de círculo. Este símbolo por vezes é acompanhado de um outro, a ave tsuru (grow japonês), símbolo do Grande Mestre Nitiren Daibossatsu. Na HBS, o grow nunca aparece sozinho, mas sempre acompanhado do Butsumaru.
