Summary[edit]

Description
English: Former castle chapel in the castle ruin Emmerberg in the Neue Welt landscape near Muthmannsdorf, municipality Winzendorf-Muthmannsdorf, district Wiener Neustadt-Land District, Lower Austria / Austria / EU. Its axis bend to the south indicates that the axes of the nave and choir were oriented according to the rising sun on separate days. The picture shows the tracing of the sunrise in the axis nave on September 4, 2000 (6h 57m CEST). According to the Julian calendar in force at that time, this date corresponds to August 28. This day is an important clue for further research on the orientation days of the nave and choir.
