Summary[edit]

Description
English: A line drawing showing a typical setup on a bench lathe or engine lathe in which a long, slender workpiece is supported by a follower rest. Follower rests are also called "travelling steadies". (The color highlighting was added on to the original drawing for better pedagogy—easier to differentiate the follower rest from all the other parts of the lathe.)

This is very helpful to readers who, for the most part, don't know what they're looking at. Helps to clue them in faster and easier.
