Description
English: Tannenberg Castle near Jugenheim, Odenwald mountains, Hesse, Germany. Stone ball which was thrown into the castle with a trebuchet during the siege of 1399. It has a diameter of 60 cm and a weight of approximately 280 kg. It is definitely not a gun ball of the great gun of Frankfurt which was used during this siege: This famous gun fired stone balls with a diameter of "only" 50 cm and a weight of approximately 170 kg.
