Summary[edit]

Description
English: Burford: Sheep Street Looking towards High Street. Sheep Street used to be home to the editorial offices of The Countryman, now re-located to Skipton, North Yorkshire. The street name points to one of the town’s former industries – wool. The town was also once known for its bellfounders, maltsters, inn-keepers, saddlers and stonemasons, as well as a racing fraternity in King Charles II’s time
