For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Egon Krenz, NVA-Panzerbesatzung ADN-ZB Ludwig-29.1.81 DDR: Egon Krenz, Kandidat des Politbüros des ZK der SED und 1.Sekretär des Zentralrates der FDJ, überzeugte sich an der Spitze einer Delegation des Büros des Zentralrates vom Ringen der jungen Armeeangehörigen eines Truppenteils der NVA in der "Parteitagsinitiative der FDJ" um überdurchschnittliche Leistungen zum zuverlässigen Schutz des sozialistischen Vaterlandes. Hier im Gespräch mit einer ausgezeichneten Panzerbesatzung.
