For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Für Bezieher des ADN-Reportagedienstes! Zum Beitrag: Knobeln um Schrott und Türme - Ein "Verfahren für fehlende Eisenbahnschwellen" ADN-ZB-Kaufhold-6.6.1980-ha. Blick in die Abteilung "Eisenoxidgelb" des VEB Kali-Chemie Berlin, Stammwerk des Kombinats Farben und Lacke. In diesen großen Bottichen befinden sich die ausrangierten, alten und zerkleinerten Eisenbahnschwellen, aus denen hier Farbkörper hergestellt werden. Da es bald solche Bahnschwellen nicht mehr geben wird, muß man sich etwas anderes einfallen lassen. Türme für die Verarbeitung von Eisenspänen u.a. sind entwickelt und patentiert. Sie werde in den nächsten Jahren Schritt für Schritt eingeführt. (Beachten Sie hierzu auch W 0606-326-328 N)"
