For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Frachter, Schlepper ADN-ZB Sindermann 27.12.79 Rostock: Den verstärkten Jahresendverkehr im Rostocker Überseehafen helfen auch die Lotsen- und Schlepperbesatzungen der Bagger-, Bugsier- und Bergungsreederei Rostock mit zu meistern. Hier wird der Frachter "Zwickau" (vorn) durch das Fahrwasser des Hafens auf die offene See geleitet. Ziel der Reise ist die sowjetische Hafenstadt Murmanek, wo wertvolle Rohstoffe für die DDR geladen werden.
