For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-ZB-Schindler-22.3.1979-ho. Die Tierpfleger des VEG Kampf im Kreis Burg rationalisierten umfassend ihre Altställe, in denen sie 9000 Mastschweine halten. Mit eigenen Mitteln und Kräften und bei steigender Produktion packten sie selbst zu, wurden sie zeitweilig Handwerker. Die im Betrieb tätigen Stellmacher und Schlosser sowie die zum Betrieb gehörende Maurerbrigade (unser Foto) und selbst die Freilandgemüsebrigade in der arbeitsarmen Zeit unterstützten dieses Vorhaben, so daß jetzt 14 Ställe, modern umgestaltet, fertig sind.
