Gotha, Schloss Friedenstein ADN-ZB Demme 17.6.78 Bez. Erfurt: Schöne DDR. Im Westturm des Schlosses Friedenstein in Gotha sind das historische Ekhof-Theater und das Heimatmuseum untergebracht. Während der Festwoche zum 200. Todestag des Schauspielers und Theaterleiters Conrad Ekhof (4. bis 18.6.78) fanden viele Sonderaufführungen durch die 1775 als Hoftheater gegründete Spielstätte statt. Das älteste Barock-Theater der DDR wird noch heute für Aufführungen genutzt.
