Im IFA-Schlepperwerk in Nordhausen ensteht der neue 20 PS-Schlepper der Ostzone. Während die Bauarbeiter fieberhaft an der Fertigstellung der Montagehalle arbeiten, läuft in der bereits fertiggestellten Lehrwerkstatt die Heranbildung von Facharbeiter-Nachwuchs auf vollen Touren.
U.B.z: In der Lehrwerkstatt unterrichten Meister Strohmeyer die Lehrlinge in der Herstellung von Werkzeugen.
