For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Begutachtung eines Baums
ADN-ZB Ludwig-25.10.1976 Bez. Erfurt: Gänge und Rillen kennzeichnen das Fraßbild des großen Fichtenborkenkäfers. Der Schaden für die Forstwirtschaft besteht u.a. darin, dass Bäume gefällt werden müssen oder absterben, die noch nicht ausgewachsen sind und noch nicht eine maximale Holzmenge erbringen. Werden die vom Borkenkäfer (auch Buchdrucker genannt) befallenen Bäume rechtszeitig geschlagen und mit Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel behandelt, so treten noch keine Qualitätsminderungen am Holz auf. Revierförster und Forstingenieur Otto Breitrück, seit 30 Jahren im Dienst, ist hier im Rebier Leimbach dabei, mit einem kleinen Schäleisen noch stehende über bereits Befallerscheinungen zeigende Fichten zu untersuchen. |
