Wensickendorf, Turmwächter ADN-ZB Sturm 18.6.1976-Zum Beitrag: Der Turmwächter im Bergsdorfer Forst - Schutz unserer Wälder vor dem "roten Eichkater". Der 69jährige Brandschutzwächter Bernhard Lotzy vom Staatlichen Forstwirtschaftsbetrieb Oranienburg in der Kanzel seines Feurwachturms bei Wensickendorf im Bergdorfer Forst. An rund 125 Tagen im Jahr, vom zeitigen Frühjarhr bis in den Herbst, versieht Bernhard Lotzy hier einem verantwortungsvollen Dienst zum Schutz des Waldes vor drohender Brandgefahr. Die Richtung einer eventuell auftauchender Rauchquelle ermittelt der Turmwächter an der Grundzahltafel und liefert damit eine Koordinate, die durch den Kollegen auf dem Nachbarturm ergänzt wird. Im Schnittpunkt beider Linien finden die Löschkräfte die Gefahrenstelle. In den zurückliegenden vierzehn Jahren hat Bernhard Lotzy rund 15.000 Dienststunden auf dem Feuerwachturm verbracht. Zweimal wurde er in dieser Zeit als Brandschutzwächter mit der Auszeichnung als Aktivist geehrt. (Bitte beachten Sie hierzu auch R0618-304N und 306N)
