For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, Charité, Frauenklinik, Operation ADN-ZB Katscherowski 8-10-73 Berlin: Modernisierter Operationstrakt an der Universitäts-Frauenklinik eingeweiht- Vaginale Radikaloperation bei Gebärmuttermund-Krebs. Im OP operieren Oberarzt Dr. Hans-Ulrich Lau (vorn), Assistenzarzt Dr. Halle (r.) und der 2. Assistenzarzt Dr. Bollmann (M.). Nach längeren Rekonstruktionsmaßnahmen wurde der Operationssaal der Universitäts-Frauenklinik des Bereiches Medizin (Charité) der Humboldt-Universität Berlin am 2.10.73 wiedereröffnet. Oberarzt Lau hob die verbesserten Arbeitsbedingungen hervor, die der modernisierte OP-Trakt bietet. Eine neue, leistungsfähigere Sterilisationsanlage, verbesserte elektrische Anlagen sowie über den OP-Tischen angebrachte Versorgungsleitungen für Sauerstoff und andere Gase. Insgesamt können jetzt täglich 20 gynäkologische Eingriffe vorgenommen werden.
